Here’s what I like: cloth napkins. 100% cotton, please. If they happen to be old, even better. Add a bit of thread wielded by someone’s (my own, in this case) grandparent? Perfection.
Too pretty and precious to use? No way. Enjoy your food, wipe your chin, let the napkins live a happy, useful life.
